Your USC Trojans basketball team took down Seton Hall by a score of 71-63 on Thursday in the Rady Children's Invitational. It was a solid win for the Trojans but there were some testy moments throughout the game

USC also blew a massive lead but did hold on to get the win. The matchup was played at LionTree Arena in San Diego, and it was a special game for guard Boogie Ellis.

Ellis is from the San Diego area so it was a chance for him to play in front of his home crowd. He spoke about the opportunity after the game.

"It's just cool to be back home," said Ellis, a fifth-year senior who played at Mission Bay High before starting his college career at Memphis. "It was a great experience. I'm glad I got to play in front of my family on Thanksgiving.”

He put on a show for the crowd in the 38 minutes that he saw the floor. Ellis dropped 22 points to lead the Trojans, as well as five rebounds and two assists.

"We've got a lot of young guys. We've got to make sure we grow up and take advantage of our opportunities," said Ellis, who made four 3-pointers. "Being up 20, we've just go to step on their throat and keep grinding it out. ... We've got to finish it out and win by 20 or 30."

USC can take a lot from this game going forward, and they know that they need to be better through the entire game. They don't want to let opportunities slip away from them and will work on things to ensure that they keep their foot on the gas throughout.
