At the start of the game between the USC Trojans and Long Beach State, Galen Center was a spectacle. Everyone was hyped up for the matchup, especially to see the long-awaited debut of freshman guard Bronny James.

But by the time the final buzzer ended, the Trojans' had dropped what was a very winnable game. The final score was 84-79 in favor of Long Beach State, with the game going into overtime.

The Trojans struggled all game to put Long Beach State away and they paid the price for it. They blew a 15-point lead at halftime and couldn't recover.

Bronny finished the game scoring four points, two assists and three rebounds in his limited playing time. He did have a high-flying block shortly after checking in, which ended up being the highlight of the game for himself.

Guard Boogie Ellis added 14 points, Isaiah Collier chipped in 15 and forward Vincent Iwuchukwu added 15 himself. The rest of the team struggled to score the ball, and the Trojans' paid the price for it.

The Trojans will need to re-group and prepare themselves for their next matchup next week when they take on Auburn. They can chalk this loss up to being a little out of sorts with Bronny making his debut, and not executing in crunch time.

The future is still bright for this Trojans' season, and they can take the lessons from this game with them going forward.
