The USC Trojans men's basketball team has seen better days. They have been incredibly inconsistent this season, sitting with a record of 10-16 on the year.

They are 2-5 in their last seven games, showing some real problems throughout. But they are looking to get healthy and build off a double-overtime loss to Colorado last weekend.

Despite all the struggles of late, Trojans guard Boogie Ellis is looking forward to the team's next game against the rival UCLA Bruins. He believes it's a redemption game of sorts, and the Trojans will need to be ready to go.

“It was a robbery game. They got us here, so we have to go get them at their place.”

Per Boogie Ellis via USC Communications

The Bruins got the better of the Trojans in their first matchup by a score of 65-50. It was an ugly showing for USC all around, but they are determined to snatch this game from UCLA on the road.

Whenever these two teams meet, it's all about pride and bragging rights. While the rivalry isn't as apparent on the basketball court, it's always a good day whenever you can take down a direct rival.

USC has no intention of dropping both games this year to the Bruins, but it won't be easy. They will need to figure out how to deal with the UCLA defense that has dominated all season.

The Trojans are going to have to find a way to neutralize the UCLA defense by moving the ball around and driving to the rim to put pressure on the defenders. They have the talent to make it happen but will need one of their best efforts of the year to take down their rivals.
