USC Basketball: Watch Isaiah Collier Battle Ex-Trojans Star/Current Coach 1 on 1
At every level of basketball, it's well known that many players love to stay behind after scheduled practices to work on their own skills. This can vary from shooting drills to ball-handling and even one on one games against teammates. Competition only grows as players get older and even though basketball is a team sport, facing off against an individual defender allows guys to strictly work on their decision-making in terms of getting to the basket.
And when it comes to breaking down defenders, there are few stars at the college level that will do it better than incoming USC point guard Isaiah Collier. The 6'4 guard is known for having the ball on a string while posing the ability to get to the rim at will.
The Trojan's social media team recently shared a video of Collier facing former Trojans star & current assistant coach Desmon Farmer.
Have a look for yourself!
Collier was able to finish things off pretty quickly with an array of dribble combos and jumpers but let's not forget what his coach was able to accomplish as a Trojan as well.
Farmer suited up for four collegiate seasons with the University of Southern California and is fifth on their all-time scoring list. He also was named All-Conference on three different occasions and was a honorable mention for All-America.
He also went on to spend some time in the NBA, D-League and some overseas squads before returning to USC for the past couple of seasons.
Collier is going to learn plenty from him this year!
