USC Women's Basketball: JuJu Watkins' Iconic Outpouring Gets Immortalized
The USC Trojans women's basketball team has been on a roll this season, sitting with a record of 16-4 on the season. They have played a dominant brand of basketball all year long, and it has been one of the most impressive years in school history so far.
Currently, they are ranked No. 10 in the nation, showing how far this program has come over the years. Behind the strong run this season has been the insane play from wing JuJU Watkins.
The freshman star out of Sierra Canyon School has been making his name ring loudly across the college basketball world, and it's been incredible to see. Recently, during a game against the Stanford Cardinal, Watkins dropped 51 points to help the Trojans get the win.
She has been on a roll and was immortalized with his iconic outpour of scoring. She made it on the ArtButMakeItSports social media account, comparing his to a famous painting.
It's quite the honor for the freshman star and shows how special she has been this season. Watkins has been the engine for the Trojans, and it's been one of the more stellar parts of this college basketball season.
On the year, she is averaging 27.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. She is also shooting 35.3% from beyond the three-point arch.Â
Watkins is doing things on the floor we haven't really seen before, and the Trojans are benefitting from it. She helps make this team into a true powerhouse, and they should be a tough opponent when the NCAA Tournament rolls around.
