USC Trojans women's basketball freshman superstar shooting guard JuJu Watkins can add yet another honor to her ever-growing list of exciting accolades.

The 6'2" wing out of Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth is now officially a First Team All-American, according to the club's official Twitter/X account:

The craziest part about Watkins’ success is, as a freshman, she still has plenty of room left to grow (presumably). And she’s already the second-leading scorer in the land, behind only superstar senior Iowa Hawkeyes point guard Caitlin Clark! Beyond grad student wing McKenzie Forbes, much of the program’s exciting young core will return to the hardwood for the Trojans next year, and should be joined by several intriguing four- and five-star prep school prospects.

Across her 27 available regular season contests for the 23-5 Trojans (13-5), Watkins is averaging 27.8 points on .416/.348/.854 shooting splits, 7.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.6 blocks per bout.

Watkins will now look to advance the club far beyond its finish last year in the NCAA Tournament, when head Lindsay Gottlieb’s then-21-10 Trojans were grounded, in the first round by the South Carolina Gamecocks, 62-57, in a pre-Watkins overtime bout.

Before March Madness tips off, however, USC will partake in the Pac-12 Tournament, starting tonight against the Arizona Wildcats. That game began at 6 p.m. PT.
