It was the freshman and the graduate student who owned the court at the Galen Center Friday night in USC's 70-62 win over Washington State.

Freshman JuJu Watkins and grad student McKenzie Forbes combined for 51 points and were 18-of-45 from the field. The rest of the team scored 19 points and were 7-for-24.

Debuting in their L.A. Nights uniform at home, the Trojans put on a clinic in the first half. They started the game on a 10-0 run and Watkins closed out the first quarter with a buzzer beater from the corner.

Watkins scored 20 of her 29 points in the first half and the Trojans took a 43-25 lead into the half. Watkins and Forbes combined outscored the Cougars 34-25.

The third quarter was lack-luster for the Trojans but the fourth belonged to this ankle-breaker by Watkins. It was so good, it deserved multiple looks.

Up next for the Trojans on Sunday is a matchup with the Washington Huskies, slated for noon PST at the Galen Center.
