The USC Trojans took down #2 ranked Stanford to become the 2024 Pac-12 Champions. The team has been on a tear this season, especially because of their superstar freshman, All-American shooting guard JuJu Watkins.

Watkins has been breaking every record that USC has, including most points scored in a game (51), most Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors (14), most 30-point games, and more.

To add to her growing historic resume, Watkins has now scored the most points as a freshman in NCAA history.

Superstar Iowa Hawkeyes point guard Caitlin Clark broke Courtney Paris's record. Clark scored 799 points her freshman year, which beat Paris, who scored 788. However, Watkins can now count herself as the most scoring freshman in NCAA history, as she scored 801 on the year after her big performance against Stanford.

Watkins's 33 points during the championship game is also the most scored by a freshman in a Pac-12 Tournament game.

The Trojans are now ranked No. 3 according to the latest Associated Press poll, making it the first time the team has cracked the top 3 in 38 years.

This Trojans team is special, and Watkins along with McKenzie Forbes, Rayah Marshall, and Kayla Padilla make up for one of the fiercest starting five in the entire NCAAW.

USC is expected to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, and we imagine that Watkins will smash even more records on the team's way to securing a national title.
