JuJu Watkins is a budding superstar in women's basketball and is taking her freshman season one game at a time.

She has adapted to the ups and downs that college basketball brings especially in her first season.

In a recent loss against Washington, Watkins was 8-for-27 from the field for 19 points. After the game, she returned to the gym and stayed so late that the security guard had to call head coach Lindsay Gottlieb.

In the next game, Watkins dropped 51 points against top-five Stanford.

While social media went wild for her masterpiece, Watkins remained humble and called it "such a good night."

With each game, Watkins learns something new. She admits that she still has a lot to learn.

However, when she addressed the media after practice on Wednesday she detailed the biggest lesson that she has learned so far, per Thuc Nhi Nguyen of The Los Angeles Times.

“Learning that you’re not going to be on every day. You practice every day, knowing that your shot is off or things are not going your way, there’s always another day to it. I think that’s most important, and it’s helped me a lot [to] just pace myself.”

Watkins and the No. 10-ranked Trojans move on to the next test on Friday night at the Galen Center against Arizona State, looking for their third straight win.
