USC Women's Basketball: Lindsay Gottlieb Explains How Trojans Landed No. 1 2024 Recruiting Class
Things are looking up for your USC Trojans.
And that's saying something, given that the Women of Troy are currently 10-0 on the 2023-24 NCAA season, and considered one of the best clubs in the nation! As of this writing, USC is currently ranked as the country's the sixth-best team, per The Associated Press.
According to a USC press release, head coach Lindsay Gottlieb's 2024 class is going to make the rich even richer. The team has just added No. 47-ranked high school prospect Vivian Iwuchuwku, a 6'3" forward out of Montverde Academy in Florida.
The four-star recruit is just the latest of six excellent new additions for the matriculating class of 2028. The others are Rian Forestier, a 5'11" guard out of Brandeis High School in San Antonio; No. 27-ranked point guard Kayleigh Heckel out of Long Island Lutheran High School in Port Chester, New York; Avery Howell, a six-foot, five-star guard out of Boise High School in Idaho who's considered the No. 23-ranked player amidst her class; 6'1" wing Kennedy Smith, the sixth-best recruit in the class out, of Etiwanda High School here in California; and 6'1" forward Laura Williams, another top-100 recruit out of St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Virginia.
"Our staff has worked tirelessly to bring a special group here that is united in their desire to win, to elevate our program and to have an unforgettable experience wearing the Cardinal and Gold," Gottlieb explained, again per that USC press statement. "I am proud of what we are building and excited about the continued work in front of us. Fight On!"
