After USC Trojans freshman wing JuJu Watkins earned a 12th Freshman of the Week honor for her performance this past week, transfer student McKenzie Forbes weighed in on her personal Twitter/X account with an excellent "SpongeBob Squarepants" reference:

Across 21 contests for the 18-4 Cardinal and Gold, Watkins is averaging 27.7 points (second-most in the nation) on .429/.346/.855 shooting splits, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.7 blocks a night. During the week in question, the 6'2" Sierra Canyon School product averaged 30 points, 5.5 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block a night in two wins.

Forbes, meanwhile, had a solid run as well. The six-foot grad student guard, a Folsom native, averaged 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 dimes, and one steal across those two USC victories.

Is SpongeBob really the best Krusty Krab employee, to a JuJu Watkins level of dominance? It's hard to say for sure, given that it's not an apples-to-oranges comp. Sure, SpongeBob is a solid fry cook, but is he a record-setting fry cook?

Watkins is such a prolific scorer that her recent 51-point performance against the Stanford Cardinal remains a college-most for the season, and she has scored 30 or more points in a USC freshman-record nine contests.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
