Junior USC Trojans center/forward Rayah Marshall is an also-ran on some major accolades this season!

The 6'4" upperclassman was an honorable mention on both the 2024 All-Pac-12 and All-Defensive teams this season, USC has announced in a press statement.

Two of Marshall's teammates, freshman shooting guard JuJu Watkins and graduate student guard McKenzie Forbes, did make the All-Pac-12 team this year. Watkins, too, was an All-Defensive Team honorable mention, along with Marshall.

Marshall remains a contender for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year award (she's still on the watch list). This year, she averaged 10.2 points, 10 boards per night, and 2.12 blocks per bout (24th-most in the country). Her 222 career blocks already rank her third in school history.

Tomorrow, Marshall and the rest of her 23-5 Trojans will kick off Pac-12 Tournament play at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas against either the Arizona Wildcats or the Washington Huskies, during the quarterfinal round of the matchup (USC earned a first round bye and the No. 2 seed). The matchup is slated to tip off at 6 p.m. The semifinal round is scheduled for Friday, March 8th, and the Pac-12 Championship game will tip off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10th.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
