USC Women's Basketball: Transfer Standout Reacts To JuJu Watkins' Viral Moment Vs Cougars
Despite the USC Trojans dropping another loss on Friday to Washington, the game was full of action. In a rare moment, star freshman JuJu Watkins did not lead her team in scoring, though she did secure 19 points.
During the fourth quarter, Watkins committed one of the nastiest ankle-breaking three-pointers. While being guarded too closely by one of Washington's players, Watkins dribbled her right into falling to the ground.
The Trojans got the perfect angle on the three-pointer, as Watkins jukes her would-be defender to the ground, resulting in an easy three.
After the game, the Trojans beat writer Luca Evans and asked McKenzie Forbes what she thought about Watkins's big moment.
“I saw it coming. I saw it coming. The moment she went back that way and the girl kinda chested up and stopped her, I said yeah, she’s going, she’s … going down.”

Forbes was all smiles as she revealed what it was like seeing Watkins make such an incredible play. It was a great moment, but it would not lead to a win.
The Trojans were playing catch-up for most of the game, and the starting five did not come together enough to secure the win.
Only Watkins and Kayla Padilla logged double-digit points. Forbes was close with eight, but USC dropped their third loss in their last four games. Most teams have struggles, and the Trojans are just going through some rough bumps right now.
They are still one of the best and most exciting teams in the country and are set to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
