The Trojans took on the No. 18 Utah Utes at home this afternoon, falling 74-68 behind 23 points and nine rebounds from star Utah forward Alissa Pili. 

A slow first quarter for USC created a tough deficit to overcome, as they scored just six points in the first 10 minutes, setting up a tough comeback effort against a good defensive team. 

For the Trojans, JuJu Watkins put up 30 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, continuing her historic freshman season (it's her 12th game with 30 or more points). She did, however, shoot a brutal 10-of-30 from the field, taking a while to get going. 

In terms of good takeaways, USC won the rebounding and turnover battles, two good indications of where a team needs to improve. 

Often, teams that struggle in those categories have those be recurring issues, so for JuJu and company, expect better shooting days for her to lead to wins for the Trojans – similar to their upset win at Stanford a few weeks ago.
