USC Women's Basketball: Trojans Make Statement With Top-15 Showdown Victory Over Oregon State
The USC women's basketball team earned their sixth victory in a row, taking down the 11th-ranked Oregon State Beavers on the road. It was a tough offensive showing for both sides, with the final score being 58-50.
The Trojans now sit with a record of 20-4 and swept the season series against the Beavers. USC should rise in the next round of rankings with this quality-ranked road victory.
Earlier in the year, USC took down Oregon State by a score of 56-54 on their home court. This marks another solid victory for the Trojans, helping their case when it comes to the NCAA Tournament.
Per usual, Trojans star JuJu Watkins led the way for USC. She dropped another great performance with 18 points and 11 rebounds. McKenzie Forbes added 13 points and five assists to help the team grab the win.
Rayah Marshall added in 11 points and 17 rebounds as well. It was an impressive showing for the forward, and USC couldn't have won this game without her contributions.
The Trojans now head home for a few well-earned days off before their next game. They will be taking on the Colorado Buffalos on Friday, February 23 with the game starting at 7 pm PT.
