USC Women of Troy grad student small forward McKenzie Forbes has been named to the midseason Cheryl Miller Award Top Ten List, per a Trojans press statement. The honor is reserved for the best player at the three spot in the college game, named after one of the position's GOATs, two-time Trojans national champion and three-time Naismith Player of the Year Cheryl Miller.

As the press statement notes, Forbes had been penciled in as a preseason favorite to compete for the Miller Award way back in the fall. She's delivered, and then some, during her inaugural year at the Galen Center. 

The six-foot Folsom native was named to the Ivy League Madness All-Tournament Team during a standout senior season with the Harvard Crimson, and to the 2021-22 All-Ivy League Team during her junior year.

This year, Forbes has continued her production apace with the 13-3 Trojans, the No. 11-ranked club in he land. She scored a career-best 36 points during the Trojans win against Long Beach State, and was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week and the USBWAA Ann Meyers Drysdale Player of the Week for her Herculean effort.

She's averaging 13.3 points on .400/.373/.667 shooting splits, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 dimes across 16 contests.
