Tonight, your USC Women of Troy are looking to wrap up their first Pac-12 road trip of the 2023-24 season with a W against the Colorado Buffaloes.

A 15-2, Colorado will be a formidable foe against the 13-2 Trojans, though the Buffs should enjoy a slight edge given that they'll be hosting the matchup. Colorado is 8-1 on its home turf this year.

Jenny Cavnar and Charli Turner Thorne will supply commentary for the bout, which is set to air on Pac-12 Network today at noon PT.

USC is led by freshman wing JuJu Watkins, a nine-time Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honoree who seems well on her way to capturing conference Rookie of the Year honors. She feels practically WNBA-ready already. To wit, she's the second-most prolific scorer in the league, behind only Iowa's Caitlin Clark.

Watkins is averaging 26.5 points on .443/.363/.824 shooting splits, 7.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 blocks. She's also made the midseason Wooden Award top 25 watch list, per USC PR.

On Friday, in the first matchup of the trip, the Trojans got walloped by the Utah Utes, 78-58. Watkins scored 27 points, but it didn't matter one iota. A limited Rayah Marshall struggled to protect the paint, and the Trojans couldn't prevent ex-USC forward Alissa Pili from pouring in buckets.

Look for USC to sneak out with a victory tonight, let's call it 64-59.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
