The USC Trojans are entering the 2023 season with high expecations, expecations they have not had in a long time.

There is a scene of new life for the Trojans, and it has a ton to do with their superstar quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams came into USC last season, and he wasted no time making a name for himself and putting USC back on the map where they belong.

He quickly established himself as a top QB in college and went so far as to garner number one overall pick status, which he could very likely become in the 2024 NFL Draft. Because of all this, he earned the number one spot in the PFF College player ranking heading into the new season, according to Max Chadwick.

This should come as no surprise, as Willaims had a legendary 2022 campaign. He now holds single-season records for USC in total offense, most touchdowns scored rushing and passing with 52, passing completions, pass attempts, most passing yards gained, pass attempts, and most touchdown passes thrown with 42.

There isn't anything he didn't do, and that is why he is the number one player in college football and why he is among the favorites to repeat in the Heisman race.

He's a complete quarterback, and we're so lucky he's on our side, ready to guide us back to glory.
