After he revealed that USC did not make his ballot for this week, Wilner talked about how embarrassing the loss was for USC.
Wilner cites that USC's poor performance against its only ranked opponent through six weeks is enough reason for the Trojans to not be ranked.
The Trojans loss was a long time coming as the team struggled in its past couple of games against the Arizona schools and Colorado.
While Wilner's words may be harsh, the sentiment for the past couple of weeks has been USC being ranked to high.
After being hyped up to be one of the best teams in the nation before the season, USC has not lived up to those expectations.
The schedule for USC does not get any easier. Four of its last five opponents are all ranked and have quality wins over other ranked teams.
There is a real possibility that the Trojans could find itself out of the Top 25 by the season's end.
