USC Football: Deion Sanders Explains 4th Quarter Thinking Against Trojans

Colorado could not pull off the upset over USC

During last week's USC football game, there were some questionable decisions made by the opposing team as the game came down to crunch time.

When Colorado received the ball with six minutes to go, down 14 points, it seemed that the Buffaloes had a chance at completing its comeback against the Trojans.

Colorado, however, confused a lot of people as its clock management seemed inefficient.

The Buffaloes scored a touchdown on that drive but took four minutes to do. En route to six points, Colorado was calling run plays and keeping its players in bounds when they got the ball.

All these plays result in the clock to keep running.

It seemed as if head coach Deion Sanders was playing with the intention of recovering an onside kick.

Now that the game is in hindsight, Coach Sanders is defending his clock management during the final minutes of the USC game.

"Shedeur (Sanders) quarterback rating is 144.1, which leads the nation. In the fourth quarter, he's completing 79% of his passes. And you think I'm going to change anything about him? No. I will take the good and the bad." (Via CBS Sports)

After starting the season 3-0, Colorado has dropped two straight games to ranked opponents. The team had an opportunity to get its second ranked win of the season against USC, but could not pull it out.
