USC Football: Ex-College Star Urges AFC Titan to Pursue Caleb Williams

Caleb Williams could be a future Patriot

As Week Five of the 2023 NFL season is nearing its conclusion, it is becoming increasingly clear who will be competing for a Super Bowl title and who will be looking to claim the number one pick.

After a rough start to the season, the New England Patriots are quickly finding themselves in the area of tanking for a better draft pick.

Ever since Tom Brady left the franchise, the Patriots have struggled to find offense. Mac Jones has not been the answer as he has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the league this season.

As the Patriots season starts to go downhill, former quarterbacks are urging the team to take a look at the presumed number one pick, Caleb Williams.

In a new Fox Radio interview with Jonas Knox, former Notre Dame quarterback and college sensation Brady Quinn tries to give the Patriots advice on what they should do with the rest of the season.

"The only hope for New England is to be in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes," Quinn said. "It would almost be like Wemby and Pop in San Antonio. Landing that pick all of a sudden brought life to the organization. It's like Belichick needs that because clearly Mac Jones is not working."

No matter who Williams gets drafted to in this year's upcoming draft, he has the talent to change the trajectory of any NFL franchise.

With Belichick at the helm coaching his most talented quarterback since Brady, the Patriots could become a dominant force in the NFL once again.
