Former Trojan, Current Dodgers Coach Stays Loyal to USC as Staff Dresses Up as Deion Sanders, Colorado

Once a Trojan, always a Trojan I guess...

It's become a yearly tradition for the Dodgers to dress up going into their final trip of the year.

This year's lineup of costumes included anything from Buzz Lightyear and Woody to tacos and Nachos (Libre, that is.)

But what the coaches did was pretty spectacular, given that they were traveling from Colorado and were, in fact, coaches.

Most of them decided to don the newly iconic hat and sunglasses just like Coach Prime at Colorado, except for one.

Mark Prior.

Going into Week 5 of the college football season, USC faces one of the biggest opponents it'll face all year in Colorado, and you can't root against your home team, right?

Prior pitched at USC in 2000 and 2001 and earned the title of then Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year in 2001 when he went 13-1 with a 1.49 ERA and led the conference in wins, strikeouts, and opponent batting average.

Instead of joining the rest of the staff in dressing like Coach Prime, Prior decided to dress up like USC head coach Lincoln Riley.

I wonder if any love was lost between the pitching coach and the rest of the staff or if it was planned out that way.

And if Colorado was playing UCLA this weekend, would Dave Roberts have put on his best UCLA uniform to support his alma mater?

The tradition of the entire team dressing up is one that needs to stick around for a while. What's even more amazing about it is that it leaves the other teams speechless when it happens, too.

It seems fitting that one of the most dominant pitchers in USC history, yes, I said it, decided to support his alma mater and go against the grain to show his support for the Trojans.

So, Happy (almost) Halloween, I guess. What would your costume be if you had to pick one?
