The former USC five-star recruit has found a new school. Quarterback Malachi Nelson, who spent his freshman season in the Cardinal Red and Gold, announces he is transferring to Boise State.

Nelson announced the decision via Twitter.

The quarterback was the number 11 overall recruit in the 2023 class.

ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel revealed a couple of days ago that Nelson took an official visit to Boise State. It was his first visit since entering the transfer portal, and it seemed like it was good enough to call it his new school.

The quarterback redshirted his freshman season, making him available with four years of eligibility.

Nelson's time in USC was limited, and that's being generous. He only took four snaps at USC. Malachi was the man in high school at Los Alamitos High School in Southern California. He threw for 2,898 yards and 35 touchdowns his senior season.

He wanted a chance to play right away with a strong roster and will likely get that. Unfortunately, it didn't work out in Southern California,m but we wish him the best in the Mountain West.

Good luck, Malachi!
