USC Football: Four-Star Midwest WR Prospect Set For USC Visit This Fall

The Trojans are gearing up for their future.

Behind the stellar play of reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, your 3-0 USC Trojans are off to a stellar start in 2023 thus far.

However, Lincoln Riley and his staff are never ones to rest on their collective laurels. To wit, they are reportedly coordinating a visit with a top 100 wide receiver prospect among his high school class this fall.

While USC already has two commits from the rising senior class, the Trojans are still casting a wide net with regard to the juniors.

Junior Talyn Taylor, out of Geneva, Illinois, is set to touch down on campus at some point, though an exact weekend has yet to be determined, per Marshall Levenson of On3.com.

Per On3's own Industry Ranking, the 6'1", 165-pound wideout is listed as the No. 12 player at his position among rising high school juniors, and the No. 71 player overall nationally.

USC tendered an offer Taylor's way over the summer. He has 21 offers overall, with Big Ten rivals Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Notre Dame considered favorites to land his services.

Across his four played games this season, he's grabbed 19 receptions for a total of 358 yards and run in four touchdowns.

“While others received more targets over the course of the week, Tayln Taylor made his opportunities count and flashed high-end talent. In an event loaded with top 2025 receivers, Taylor looked to be among the best of the group," On3 Assistant Recruiting and Scouting Director Cody Bellaire said in his official evalution. The Geneva (Ill.) Geneva Community product is a fluid, natural mover with a high level of coordination. Taylor had an outstanding toe-tapping touchdown grab on Sunday and found the end zone earlier, showing nice route-running ability and spatial awareness.”
