USC Football: How Caleb Williams Feels About Playing In Potential NFL Destination
USC Trojans star quarterback Caleb Williams has been so good during his junior NCAA season that he is considered a frontrunner to earn his second consecutive Heisman Trophy.
Naturally, the 6'1", 216-pound star has emerged as an early prospect to be selected near the top of next season's NFL draft. He's currently projected by CBS Sports to be the top pick, ahead of Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu, and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.
Thanks to the shelving of Kyler Murray with a knee injury, the Arizona Cardinals are looking like the dregs of the NFL at present.
Greg Moore of The Arizona Republic writes that Williams, who passed for 322 yards (20-of-31 completions, three touchdowns) against the ASU Sun Devils in a 42-28 victory on Saturday, seems to relish suiting up in The Grand Canyon State.
“It was great, I played in Arizona last year,” Williams noted. “Came out with a win both times we’ve been to Arizona. it’s been fun.”Caleb vs. Coach Prime? The football world, especially Arizona Cardinals fans, will be watching.
