Back in January, USC received a transfer portal commitment from University of Florida offensive lineman Ethan White. White did not enroll at USC for spring camp and now it appears he won't be joining the Trojans at all, according to On3.com's Matt Zenitz.

White was expected to play left guard at USC. Gino Quinones took the majority of first team reps at that spot this spring.

With White out, the Trojans may bring in another left guard in the current transfer portal window. Houston offensive lineman transfer Cam'Ron Johnson is set to take an official visit to USC. He's believed to be down to two schools in his recruitment: USC and Missouri.

As things currently stand, USC's projected starting offensive line unit for the fall is Florida transfer Michael Tarquin at left tackle, Quinones at left guard, Justin Dedich at center, Washington State transfer Jarrett Kingston at right guard and Jonah Monheim at right tackle. Johnson would push Quinones for a starting job if he signs.

White started all 13 of Florida's games at left guard a year ago and didn't allow a sack. He was named an All-SEC second team pick for his efforts. White earned an overall offensive grade of 70 from Pro Football Focus last season. Among USC's offensive linemen in 2022, that mark ranks fifth.

With offensive lineman Courtland Ford entering the transfer portal and White no longer planning to enroll, USC will have limited upperclassmen depth on the line even if Johnson signs. The Trojans may now look to add another offensive lineman in the portal.
