USC Basketball: NBA Lottery Hopeful Not Buckling Under Weight Of Expectations

Your University of Southern California Trojans have a lot on the table laid out for them in the upcoming 2023-2024 season. In their final year as a part of the Pac-12 Conference. They had an extremely successful recruiting period and came away with Isaiah Collier and Bronny James to lead the way along with a number of key returners.
And with Collier finishing off his high school career as the number one ranked player in his graduating class of 2024, there will be a number of heavy expectations on him as he kicks off his freshman season with the Trojans. Point guards always have heavier responsibilities than other positional players because they are the coach on the court in a sense.
USC didn't bring in these guys to just make a slight push in the next March Madness tournament, they have big goals as they prepare for their next campaign. Collier will be looked at to lead this new group and place himself among some of the best players in the nation.
However, even though he appreciates all of the love, he never gets satisfied.
“I’d say it’s a blessing, but I don’t really pay attention to all that,” he says. “It’s great to be recognized, and it’s also having a target on your back, getting everybody’s best game. But it doesn’t really impact me. I’ve got bigger goals in mind.”

Collier has been hyped up as one of the best point guards for years now and since the Trojans were able to land him, they'll be able to help him develop into a legit NBA lottery pick.
