Coming off of another win to start their 2023 season, the Trojans will be on the road again for their fifth game of the season.

Playing the Colorado Buffaloes in a heavily discussed matchup, USC's football team has Vegas' odds on their side ahead of this weekend's contest against the most polarizing team in the country.

Winning an ugly game against Arizona State, the Men of Troy hope their next conference game will be better than their last against new hotshot head coach Deion Sanders.

Dropping their most recent game to Oregon in their respective week four match, fans can certainly speculate on how hungry the Buffaloes will be to re-establish themselves on the national stage.

Sanders' takeover for a one-win program has been well documented at this point, but with Colorado dropping out of the top 25 due to their blowout against the Ducks, many are doubting just how improved the team is.

Happy to prove everybody wrong like he's done for his first month in the Pac-12, the former All-Pro corner has inspired many across the college football landscape with his confident attitude and swagger.

USC has plenty to be confident in, too, as defending Heisman winner Caleb Williams is on track to repeat for the award after staying turnover-free in his first four victories for 2023.

Even as heavy favorites, though, the Trojans struggled for three quarters against the Sun Devils in their first match of conference play in 2023.

As a result, fans can rightly have some reservations about the prospects of playing Shadeur Sanders and the rest of a hungry Colorado roster, itching for redemption from an embarrassing loss.

If the Men of Troy want any chance at a national title, wins like these in conference play will be vital in that quest for college football's ultimate prize.
