6'4", 300-pound defensive lineman Jericho Johnson is a top-10 prospect from California and candidate to commit to USC.

The Fairfield, California native is 4-star recruit that holds a number of Pac-12 offers including ones from Washington, Oregon, Utah, and USC. Those four schools are a part of his top four options, ensuring that he'll stay west.

Per Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, Johnson is expected to announce his decision on December 21st at 7 p.m. PT, from his church in Suisun City, California.

Crystal Ball predictions suggest a 100% probability of him committing to Oregon, but as Huffman reports, his official USC visit is in December, making it hard to confirm with certainty that he's ruled the Trojans out.

Meanwhile, he has officially visited Washington and Utah, meaning he's unlikely to suddenly flip to one of those schools, leaving USC and Oregon as feasible options.

Johnson would fill a necessary void on the edge for the Trojans, who struggled to generate pressure against top offenses like Oregon and Washington this season.

Importantly, with him already being 300 pounds, he'd be the third-biggest defensive lineman on the roster, fixing a size issue that is clear when watching the Trojans' underperforming defense.

For now, it's hard to give much confidence to the notion that he commits to Southern Cal, but his official visit will likely act as the deciding factor.
