USC Football: 2026 Trojans Commit Shatters School's Passing Record
In all likelihood, the 2023 season will be the last we see of Heisman Trophy-winning USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams in the Cardinal and Gold. Williams is set for the NFL after this season, and the Trojans will do their best to make up for the loss of Williams.
It may not happen next season or the season after, but in 2026, we could see the next great USC QB emerge. The Trojans picked up the best player and play calling prospect of the 2026 class, and he hails from Georgia, sophomore Julian Lewis. Lewis has quickly made a name for himself and has already made history in his high school's record book.
Lewis had himself a game in his recent outing. The sophomore QB threw for seven touchdowns, breaking a passing record that current NC State QB MJ Morris held. On top of that, Lewis tied the Wolfpack QB for the most touchdowns in a game in program history.
While he was out there breaking records, "Juju" completed 15 of his 19 pass attempts for 435 yards, along with the seven touchdowns. The Georgia prospect has proven time and time again that he is possibly the best QB not only in his class but the entire country.
As time goes by, hopefully, he will stay committed to the Trojans and bring along other top talents in the country for his class or beyond that. It seems like head coach Lincoln Riley struck gold with this commit, and we cannot wait to see him shine at the Coliseum.
