USC Football: 4-Star Senior CB Plans To Visit Trojans This Month
Four- or three-star (we'll get to that in a second) senior prospect Kevyn Humes, a defensive back out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, is officially planning to touch down at USC this month, according to Steve Wiltfong of USCFootball.com. The Trojans tendered him an offer on December 27th.
He is set to pay campus an official visit on January 22nd.
Per Wiltfong, the competition for his services includes Maryland, Syracuse, Penn State, Florida and Notre Dame.
The 5'11", 185-pound cornerback is considered a three-star recruit, as well as the 55th-best cornerback in the country and the 23rd best in the state, according to 247Sports. That said, he is thought to be a four-star prospect by 247Sports Composite's standards, which ranks him as the No. 25 cornerback and the No. 11 Maryland prospect.
Either way, the interest of Humes speaks volumes with regard to how admired new defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn is nationally, and the level of talent his addition to the bench can attract.
Things are looking up for the ol' Cardinal and Gold. USC upset the Louisville Cardinals 42-28 in the Holiday Bowl last week to improve its final season record to 8-5, following a still-relatively disappointing 2023 run under head coach Lincoln Riley, in his second year with the program.
