USC Football: Big Ten Shares Four-Year Football Plan Involving The Trojans
In the Pac-12, college football teams don't receive their schedules for the next season until the current year is over.
For the Big 10, things work differently, and significant changes are coming.
As USC preps for its transition into the Big 10, its home and road opponents have been revealed for the next two years. The league also previewed how the schedule will work out until 2028.
For the 2024 season, the first USC will spend in the Big 10; they will have to travel to the Midwest and East Coast for three road games.
The Trojans will play Maryland, Michigan, and Minnesota all on the road. The team will also play away at UCLA and Washington.
USC will face Penn State, Nebraska, Rutgers, and Wisconsin at home. The non-conference opponents have yet to be announced.
For the 2025 season, the Trojans will travel to take on Illinois, Nebraska, and Purdue. They will stay on the West Coast while taking on Oregon in Eugene.
Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, and UCLA will all appear at the LA Coliseum in 2025.
Fans waiting for the annual USC-UCLA will not have to worry as the Big 10 confirmed that that game will be played yearly. Oregon and Washington will also play their annual rivalry game every year as well.
The Big 10 has also confirmed that all the West Coast teams will play each other every three out of five years.
These are the plans that the Big 10 has through 2028. With the changing culture of college football, who knows where the conference will be at that time?
