USC Football: Brendan Rice Reveals Which NFL Team He Wants to Play For
Brenden Rice, the son of NFL great Jerry Rice, is currently preparing to shine one more time on the football field. The USC Trojans receiver is currently practicing for the Senior Bowl and was showcased making an insane contested catch.
After practice, Rice was asked about what it's like preparing for his entrance to the NFL. He was asked about what NFL player he looks up to, and what team he would like to play for.
Rice stated that he is a "fanboy" of Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wide receiver, Mike Evans.
Rice stated that it would be "crazy if the Bucs were to draft him, as he would learn from Evans, Chris Godwin, and possibly catch passes from QB Baker Mayfield.
Rice is also wearing the #13 jersey, which is the same number that Evans wears. We would argue that emulating his game after Evans would be incredibly beneficial, as Evans is one of the most dynamic receivers in the league.
He posted 1,255 yards and 13 TDs, which has him tied with Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill.
Rice may draw some ire from his father for not picking the San Francisco 49ers as his dream destination, but the Bucs are a great organization. The Bucs pick #26 in the NFL Draft, and we will see if they use their 1st-round on him.
