Since the Chicago Bears traded Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the rumors that the Bears will take USC quarterback Caleb Williams No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft have only grown stronger.

The belief that the Bears will take Williams only continued to grow when many members of the Bears were in attendance at USC's Pro Day on Wednesday. Not only were both Bears general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus in attendance, but new Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen. The Bears just traded for Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers, meaning that Williams will be throwing to Allen if the Bears do take him.

Allen was seen at the Pro Day wearing Bears gear, talking to Caleb Williams' family, and linking up with Williams himself.

After throwing at his Pro Day, Williams noted that he has known Allen for about a year. He added that Allen it was "exciting" to have Allen at his Pro Day after the veteran WR had one of his best seasons in 2023, and would be exciting to possibly have Allen as his receiver.

In 2023, Allen recorded a career-high 108 receptions for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns, resulting in his sixth Pro Bowl nod and one of his best overall seasons.

Assuming the Bears draft Williams, the Trojan quarterback will have a great wide receiver tandem with Allen and D.J. Moore. In particular, Allen brings add veteran experience to his skillset, having played in the NFL for over a decade. This surely could be vital for a soon-to-be rookie QB in Williams, and provide Williams with a reliable receiving threat.

Overall, the showing at USC's Pro Day, and the presence of Allen, certainly has it looking like Williams will be a Bear come the end of April.
