USC Football: Caleb Williams Refuses To Speak With Media After Shocking UCLA Loss

I don't know if he's playing in that bowl game.

Superstar USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams, long considered one of the best players in all of college football and surefire early draft pick next year, hasn't officially even let the world know whether or not he'll suit up for a potential bowl game with the team this year, now that the program's 2023 regular season has come to close. As a junior, he still has another year of collegiate eligibility, so it also remains an open question as to whether or not he'll be back in 2024.

He hasn't "officially" revealed his position on either his short- or long-term future with USC. But you don't have to look that hard to figure out where he stands.

Following a miserable 38-20 defeat at the hands of the underdog UCLA Bruins on Saturday that dropped the Trojans to a paltry 7-5 record on the year (keep in mind, this is a team that had dreams of a College Football Playoff appearance), Williams decided to forgo his media availability, a USC spokesperson informed Ryan Kartje of The Los Angeles Times.

Upon hearing about the decision, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN understandably protested Williams' decision to shirk his postgame obligations.

Clearly, he was in no mood to answer questions about his or his team's performance against a supposedly inferior opponent. I'm officially dubious we'll ever see him in the Cardinal and Gold again.
