USC Football: Expert Believes Trojans Offense Will Bounce Back In South Bend
USC and Notre Dame will add another chapter to their storied history on the gridiron in their collective Week 6 matchup this Saturday.
Arizona gave the Trojans all they could handle in a triple overtime nailbiter last week, but one writer thinks the Men of Troy are poised for a bounce back against the Fighting Irish.
USC limped to an overtime win last week and Notre Dame's defense is better than
Arizona
's, so I think that's why we're seeing the disrespect to the Trojans.
However
, I believe it's bounce-back time for the USC offense. I have a very hard time seeing Lincoln Riley and
Caleb Williams
struggling in back-to-back weeks. Williams is coming off his worst game as a USC quarterback and we just saw Notre Dame give up 33 points to Louisville. I think
USC wins big

USC matched their lowest point total of the season thanks in large part to Caleb Williams' uncharacteristic first-half struggles against the Wildcats.
The reigning Heisman completed 14 of his 25 passes on the evening and threw for just 214 yards and one score through the air.
Williams didn't have his best with his arm, as he essentially won the contest thanks to his dual-threat abilities on the ground.
The D.C. native found paydirt three times with his legs and propelled the Trojans to a comeback victory after yet another poor showing from Alex Grinch's defense.
A win is a win, but under these strained circumstances, the Trojans certainly don't look the part of national championship contenders.
Three straight sloppy wins against Pac-12 competition won't inspire fans, or the committee voters who hold the university's CFP hopes in their hands.
Perhaps a victory in this recent chapter against a ranked non-conference opponent will get the Men of Troy back on track.
