Last August, the USC Trojans secured one of their quarterbacks of the future when they signed five-star prospect Julian Lewis. The Trojans recently got good news that Lewis reclassified from the class of 2026 to the class of 2025, meaning he'll be available to play for USC one year earlier. However, this reclassification may no longer benefit the Trojans, who could be considered to play for another school.

One of the places he'll consider is Colorado. Colorado will need another quarterback following the 2024 season with Shedeur Sanders most likely headed for the NFL draft at that point. Lewis is set to visit Colorado on January 27th and 28th, via Donovan James of USA Today.

Though Colorado has lost some of their key recruits and commitments after faltering late in the 2023 season and finishing the year 4-8 after a 3-0 start, they do have star power with Deion Sanders as head coach.

Along with Colorado, Lewis has visited Auburn and plans to visit Georgia in the coming weeks. Given that Lewis goes to Carrollton High School in Georgia, UGA could be a real consideration for him. Alongside Georgia being close to home for Lewis, the Bulldogs have been one of the best college football teams as of late, winning two of the last three National Championships.

With Caleb Williams heading for the NFL Draft, the Trojans have been looking to secure their future quarterbacks. Miller Moss is expected to take over the starting quarterback position in 2024 for the Trojans after he threw for 372 yards, six touchdowns and one interception in USC's Holiday Bowl win over Louisville. However, the Trojans need to figure out who they'll have a starter after Moss.

Ideally, that would be Lewis, who is the No. 2 overall quarterback prospect in the country. If Lewis decides to go elsewhere, that could spell trouble for the Trojans.
