Former USC Trojans defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, who was so disappointing this season that his friend Lincoln Riley was essentially compelled to offload him with two games remaining on his team's slate (D'Anton Lynn was eventually poached from UCLA to replace him long-term), has somehow landed on his feet fairly quickly.

He will be remaining the Big Ten in 2024 (keep in mind, that's where USC is headed), as Grinch has signed on to serve as a safeties coach for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Perhaps predictably, NCAA fans and pundits have weighed in with some, uh, colorful comments on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Presumed new starting USC quarterback Miller Moss was seen as possibly one of the big beneficiaries of seeing his old coach on the sidelines elsewhere given that, you know, not a lot of fans are confident in his defensive acumen:
