The USC Trojans' 2024 recruiting journey hasn't been all smooth sailing. The past months have seen their fair share of ups and downs, with players heading elsewhere and commitments slipping away.

The stretch from July to August hasn't exactly been a triumph. However, it's worth noting that there's still ample time for the tides to turn and the class to get a boost with months left in the game.

Amid the shuffling, USC has gained a new prospect who's now taken the top spot in their rankings. Kameryn Fountain, a promising four-star recruit from Georgia, has stepped onto the scene. Hailing from Atlanta's Booker T. Washington High School, Fountain is set to make his mark on the West Coast.

This edge rusher is bringing his talents to USC with a mission – to restore the Trojans to their former glory. Fountain, who committed to the SC in early June, shed light on his decision to don the Trojan jersey.

“I love the coaches over there,” said Fountain. “I do feel that home feeling more at USC though.

“That’s why I committed. I went on other trips (unofficially), but they just didn’t feel like home. I just couldn’t see myself at those schools. But I rock with Coach Luc (

Despite the challenges, his dedication to the team's resurgence remains steadfast. As the Trojans continue to shape their 2024 class, Fountain's commitment adds a hopeful spark to the journey ahead.

The four-star edge rusher stands at 6'5", 237 pounds, and is ranked as the number six edge in his class and the number nine player in Georgia.

The anticipation is at an all-time high for the high school senior. He is sure to make a significant impact and play alongside other top recruits come next fall.
