USC Football: Local 2025 RB Offered By Trojans

USC expressed interest in a local three-star recruit.

The USC Trojans are working to get back to where they belong, and it all starts with great recruiting. The program realizes it starts by dominating its region and running back coach Keil McDonald did exactly that.

McDonald added a new running back prospect to the USC list by making an offer to a three-star running back from California, Karson Cox.

Cox hails from Hesperia, California, roughly 83 miles east of the USC campus. The junior running back spoke to 247Sports and USC insider Chris Trevino. He expressed his Trojan fandom throughout, and what it meant to have USC reach out.

"I was ecstatic once Coach McDonald called me and announced he was officially offering me," Cox told USCFootball.com. "It means a lot to me knowing how diverse USC is when it comes to offering kids and just having a local offer from the home team just is everything to me. USC was always a school I watched growing up since I was a baby."

The 2025 running back is ranked as the 27th running back in his class and the 38th player in his home state. The USC offer makes it a total of 14 offers for Cox at the moment, along with the Utah Utes, San Diego State Aztecs, Kansas Jayhawks, Oregon State Beavers and the Oregon Ducks, to name a few.

The junior is a two-way player who could play running back or defensive back at the next level. The Trojans could use all the help they could get on either side of the ball. Hopefully, USC will remain persistent in its attempt to lure Cox in and keep him in Southern California.
