USC Football: MarShawn Lloyd Announces Draft Decision
After spending just one season with the USC Trojans, running back MarShawn Lloyd has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Lloyd, who transferred to USC from the University of South Carolina, tallied over 1,000 total yards and nine touchdowns over the course of the Trojans' 7-5 season.
"I would like to give a special thanks to Coach Riley for giving me an opportunity to become a USC Trojan, for that I am forever grateful," Lloyd wrote in an Instagram post Sunday. "To Coach Mac and Coach Wylie thank you both for believing in me and putting me in position to enhance my game."

Ahead of USC's loss to UCLA, Lloyd was asked about his intentions to play in the Trojan's bowl game. His answer?
"As far as right now, 100 percent. I haven't thought of anything else. I'm just focused on what's now," Lloyd said.

While not necessarily a guarantee, it appears that Lloyd will play in the Holiday Bowl against Louisville, pending any hesitancies the running back might have as he prepares to enter the NFL.
Lloyd is projected to go in the fifth round of the draft. His strengths as a powerful rusher and receiver out of the backfield will likely land him on a training camp roster come next July.
