USC named college football's most explosive offense entering 2023 season
Is it football season yet?
USC was named the most explosive offense entering the 2023 college football season by 247Sports.com's Brad Crawford on Thursday. Crawford wrote about the Trojans:
"Caleb Williams returns for one more season under Lincoln Riley's tutelage with a Heisman under his belt, but this year's end-game plan is different — USC wants to win the Pac-12 and reach the playoff. He's the top player in the country and has the firepower to get it done, too. USC signed a super transfer class, including the addition of South Carolina star running back Marshawn Lloyd. There's no need to worry about how USC's wide receiver corps will look without Jordan Addison this season, either. The Trojans added top-end Arizona transfer Dorian Singer from the portal and signed the highest-rated pass-catcher in the 2023 recruiting cycle in Zachariah Branch. He has turned heads this spring as an immediate impact guy."
Add in an offensive line bolstered by two transfers and a five-star true freshman tight end as well. The future is certainly bright for the Trojans offense.

In Riley's eight seasons as an offensive coordinator and head coach at the Power Five level, his offenses have been graded in the top ten every year by Pro Football Focus.
From 2016 to 2018 when Riley had Heisman Trophy winners Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray playing quarterback at Oklahoma, his offenses graded out as the best in the country averaging 45.8 points per game. USC should be at that level this fall.
Buckle up.
