The USC Trojans have done their job racking up as much talent in the class of 2024. However, they are not close to being done, and they hope to collect as many more players as they can.

Many kids would love to attend the University of Southern California and play for a shot at a national championship. Virginia's top player in the class of 2024 could be one of those players.

Chris Cole, a linebacker from Salem, Virginia, and the number five LB in the country, is down to his final eight schools, and your Trojans are in there.

Cole took an unofficial visit to the campus last month and told reporters that the visit boosted USC in his recruitment.

The incoming senior also spoke highly of the school, both academically and athletically.

“USC is a great program with even better academics! Coach Riley, Coach Odom and Strength Coach Dennis talked about their plan for me as ILB and the individualized plan for development, all prep work for the NFL.”

The other seven schools Cole is considering are Alabama, Tennessee, Miami, Penn State, Norte Dame, Georgia, and Virginia Tech.

According to the On3 recruiting prediction machine, the Hokies of Virginia Tech have the best shot at Cole, with 35.2%, followed by Penn State and Georgia.

The home team seems to have the advantage in this case, but you never know what can happen in the next coming months.

We'll keep a close eye on where Cole decides to wind up.
