The way college football has historically been is over. The game itself is the same, but how things operate is a thing of the past. With the inclusion of the NIL deals, it has transformed college football and just college athletics as a whole into a new reality.

Some may not like it, but college athletes earning financial compensation based on their own name, image, and likeness is an important step. It was fought for so long, and now the athletes today get to reap the benefits. It has already made a significant impact on the recruiting world as top players can now have programs that give them financials.

The USC Trojans have been a household name in college athletics forever so it makes sense why they have two players in the top five of total NIL deals across the county. The number one athlete in the county is Bronny James, who plays for the USC basketball team, and coming in at number four is USC quarterback Caleb Williams.

According to On3.com, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner comes in with a valuation of $2.6 million. He deserves every penny of that and likely more due to the level of production and revenue that he brings the Trojans when out on the field. It's a culmination of all the hard work that Williams has put in, and it speaks to his level of talent.

He is projected to be the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft this season if he can have another strong year. Williams will then be making even more money, and rightfully so.

With Williams leading the charge, the Trojans will be looking to have another strong year and, hopefully, this time, make the College Football Playoff. They came close last year but now will be determined to get back to the Pac-12 title game and, this time, finish the job.
