The new college football season is just around the corner, and your USC Trojans are looking to make some noise again this year. After falling just short of a potential College Football Playoff berth, USC is back to reach their goals this time around.

There are many good teams across the county which results in some great and meaningful games as the season progresses.

Brad Crawford of 247 Sports ranked the 23 most meaningful games for this college football season, and USC made the list four times.

Utah @ USC had to be on the list. It comes in at number 19, and this one will be massive for the Trojans. After Utah beat them twice last season, including in the Pac-12 title game, USC will be looking for some revenge. The Trojans have to win this game if they want any chance of reaching their goals, and this new-aged rivalry should be one of the better games of the year.

“There are several can't-miss Pac-12 rematches, but considering the bad blood between the Utes and Trojans after Utah's pair of victories in this setting last season, we're all in for this one”

Per 247 Sports

We see one of the longest rivalries at number 16, USC @ Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish will be looking to get the win over the Trojans after USC beat them last season. The Trojans can’t afford to lose to Notre Dame this year and hope to make a College Football Playoff run. With all their tough games on the schedule and Notre Dame, the Trojans could reach the Playoff if they win out.

"This is always a hard-hitting rivalry affair, but this year's game comes much earlier on the schedule than normal, around the midseason point in fact."

Per 247 Sports

At number 11 on the list is USC @ Oregon. This is a classic Pac-12 rivalry game, and thankfully it’s on the schedule for the Trojans' final year in the conference. Autzen is always one of the best atmospheres in the country, and it will surely be rocking to welcome the Trojans. Caleb Williams and Bo Nix matchup in one of the better quarterback battles of the season.

“This stop on the Trojans' Pac-12 farewell tour has instant classic potential”

Per 247 Sports

Coming in at number seven is Washington @ USC in November. This one could decide how the Pac-12 conference itself shakes out but also could pit two Heisman favorites against each other. Caleb Williams and Michael Penix Jr. could put on a show in Southern California, making this one of the top games of the season.

“This game has meaning not only in the league title race, but also for the Heisman picture with Penix and Williams duking it out for top billing the first weekend of November”

Per 247 Sports

All in all, USC has a pretty tough schedule this season, but in order to be the best, you need to beat the best. Your Trojans are a talented group and should be seen as one of the favorites to possibly win it all this upcoming season.
