One thing you can always count on with a Lincoln Riley-led team is that the offense is going to be top-notch. It was apparent during his time with the Oklahoma Sooners, and it again was last season in his first year with the USC Trojans. Riley just has a way of putting his guys into prime positions to succeed, and it all starts with having a strong quarterback.

For the last few years, he has been led by Caleb Williams at both Oklahoma and USC. Williams followed him to Southern California and ended up winning the Heisman Trophy last year. But even Williams needs help, and that comes in the form of his strong wide-receiving team.

Max Chadwick of Pro Football Focus ranked the Trojans receiving unit as the sixth-best across the county.

"For the second straight year, Caleb Williams’ top target will be an incoming transfer. Dorian Singer will attempt to fill in the shoes left behind by

Jordan Addison

and is a top-10 wide receiver in the country."

Per PFF

Despite losing Jordan Addison to the NFL, the Trojans will again have a top unit. The team brought in Dorian Singer from the transfer portal to try and fill the gap of Addison. Last season for the Wildcats, he had 66 catches for 1105 yards and six touchdowns. He also had 29 catches that went for 15-plus yards, which was second in the country. Singer played under mediocre quarterback play at Arizona and now will be catching passes from Williams, which should increase his production.

They also have Tahj Washington returning, who should get better with another year working with Williams. Washington was great for the Trojans last season, putting up 785 yards and six touchdowns. If he can reproduce that level of production or even surpass it, it would go a long way for the Trojans.

USC will look to finish the job in 2023, and it starts for this team on offense. It's their bread and butter and will define exactly how their season goes.
