USC Football News: Trojans Among Finalists for Four-Star DB Mater Dei Recruit, Sets Announcement Date
It's the middle of the summer, and some of the best high school recruits in football have found some new homes once they graduate from high school.
However, there are a handful of kids who have yet to make their decisions prior to their senior year, but one potential USC Trojan will be making his decision this weekend.
Four-star DB target Zabien Brown announced he will make his decision Saturday, July 9th, with USC being one of the three finalists.
The acquisition of Brown will be huge and add to SC's already loaded 2024 class. You could never go wrong with multiple defenders, and Brown could fit that bill. It's clear Brown wants to win and be a part of a historic football program, and none are better than the Trojans.
The four-star recruit spoke to Trojans Wire and said he is looking forward to his announcement.
“I’m ready,” Brown said. “I feel good about it and this weekend works well for me and my family. We’re having a get together with friends and family so we thought this was the perfect time to announce my decision.”

The defensive back made an official visit to USC in early June. He is six feet tall, 180-pound recruit who is rated number six in California, number seven corner, and the number 61 prospect nationally in the class of 2024.
In his junior season, he had 32 tackles, three interceptions, and five pass breakups. Anyone would be lucky to have him, and hopefully, that's the Trojans come this Saturday.
