USC Football: Pac-12 After Dark Isn't Dead Just Yet
One of the more fun parts of the college football schedule each season is how long the games go throughout each Saturday. On the West Coast, they start around 9 a.m. PT and can go into the late evenings.
The term "Pac-12 After Dark" has been used to describe the teams from the Pac-12 Conference playing late into the night. It means that college football is played for over 12 hours, giving fans an all-day watching experience.
With multiple teams moving to different conferences next season, the late-night games may end soon. However, there will still be some over the course of this year, and we will even be getting one featuring the USC Trojans soon.
Their matchup against Arizona State on September 23rd is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT. So, the game will likely end between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
While fans on the East Coast may not stay up to watch the games, people on the West Coast will surely be awake for this matchup.
The game will be played from Mountain American Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, and will be the Trojans' next game. They are on a bye week this coming weekend after taking down Stanford last week. This season, it will also be the first game away from the LA Coliseum for the Trojans.
This will be a good test for USC, and they will have another chance to keep their undrafted record alive. They have looked the part of a championship-contending squad so far, but it's still early in the season.
Any game on the road in college football is a difficult one, no matter the opponent. So USC must be ready to go and not take the Sun Devils for granted in this matchup.
