USC Football: Star Oregon State LB Commits to Trojans
It was beginning to look like the USC Trojans were getting hit hard by players entering the transfer portal. In fact, most of the starting WR for the team will be gone by 2024. While the offense is getting hit hard, the defense continues to garner huge wins.
Former UCLA Bruins defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn left the team for the Trojans, and he was joined by North Dakota State head coach Matt Entz as the new linebackers coach. It was also just announced that Doug Belk will coach the defensive backs.
The Trojans are stacking up to turn their defensive unit around. To add even more excitement to the defensive side of the ball, Oregon State LB Easton Mascarenas-Arnold has officially committed to USC.
Mascarenas-Arnold from the Beavers is a huge pickup for the Trojans. He picked up a total of 106 tackles, 49 of them solo, 2 sacks, and 2 INTs.
Mascarenas-Arnold can make an impact immediately, and he will certainly bolster the unit that failed to match the offensive output in the 2023 season. Bringin Lynn, Etnz, and Belk will turn this unit into one of the best in the NCAA.
We imagine more players will join Mascarenas-Arnold in joining the Trojans soon, as the transfer portal players have begun to declare for their new teams.
