USC Football: Trojan Fans React to Marshawn Lloyd's Astonishing Blocking Skills
The USC Trojans picked up their first win of the season against the San Jose Spartans in Week 0. Although it was close at halftime, the Trojans pulled away in the second half and won big, 56-28.
Many Trojans shined bright in their season debut, from true freshmen to transfers. One transfer that had himself a solid debut was running back MarShawn Lloyd. Llyod led the team in carries with nine for a total of 42 yards; his longest carry was 16 yards. Although he didn't find himself in the end zone, he made his mark doing the dirty work.
That's what the kids call a PANCAKE! The redshirt junior showed he could do more than carry the rock, and USC fans loved what they saw from Lloyd.
Llyod brought the boom and is setting the tone that former USC running back Travis Dye set last season with his saying, "No blocky, no rocky."
Everyone did their job to protect the Heisman-winning trophy QB Caleb Williams, and they'll need to continue that in order for him to play like the best college football player in the country.
We'll see what else Llyod has in his bag with both the football and his blocking skills.
